Confidence is sky-high in the Super Eagles squad as they get set to kick off their fourth World Cup campaign, according to assistant coach Roland Andersson.
"The atmosphere among the players and the coaches is very good. The players are doing really well and they are not afraid of anyone. They have a lot of self-confidence and that is very good."
It is a view echoed by forward Chinedu Obasi, who says the Nigerians are in South Africa to win.
"We have come very far in our preparations. We are not here to play, we are here to win."
Nigeria open their campaign against Argentina on Saturday at Ellis Park stadium, and Andersson says the players are chomping at the bit to get out on the pitch and do the business.
"At this time, everyone of us just wants to get started now and play the match. That's how it works. We know it is going to be a tough game. But hopefully we will play a very good match against them."
